Maybelline's Great Lash-Lots of Lashes & Baby Lips

Hi all :)

I'm SO very excited because I've just been invited to my 4th campaign with BzzAgent (which you should definitely sign up and try btw!) and it's the Maybelline campaign, testing and blogging about their new mascara, Great Lash, Lots of Lashes and their new line of lip balms, Baby Lips!

I'm a huge fan of makeup I must say! I have a handful of mascaras in my makeup bag as we speak and literally, a drawer full of lip balms, sticks and glosses so I'm ecstatic to try these new goodies out. If you don't know about these two new nifty treats, check out these videos from Youtube and see what the hype is all about :)

Baby Lips

Lots of Lashes

I'm super anxious (in a good way!) to see how these hold up. Currently, I switch from Clinique's High Impact/Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascaras; both in the darkest shade...black! As for balms and glosses, I wear them according to color and which I can actually find on a given day! In our BzzKit, we received 5 mascaras (in 'Very Black') and also 5 Baby Lips balms (in all available varieties except one, Grape Vine, in the dark green tube). Can't wait for updates :)

...A New Outlook...

Hi all,

A *very* long time since writing on my blog (and also checking out my FB page, yikes) but over the past few months, I've had a chance to reflect on how things are going with this blog...and frankly...I'm a bit bummed. Flash back four or five months ago, with the Facebook page for GAWF more vibrant and my husband wasn't out of work, I didn't have an ulcer in my eye, and wasn't pregnant (surprise!), things were going fine; Or so I had thought.

My husband and I didn't make alot of money as it was, so being able to put together some sort of giveaways was my way of connecting to those gracious enough to stop by my site if possible. The latter ones though with the Seventh Gen. were admittedly, unsuccessful due to bad timing. For that, I am truly sorry for those who were unable to receive their prizes, you know who you are. At the same token, it seemed that (for the most part), fans only spoke on my page when in fact I had a giveaway or contests for goodies. That, in itself, was highly disappointing. Rarely a thank you for the prizes that *did* get sent off to their new homes, though I recall getting one or two only throughout. I once sent out a poll asking fans what kind of giveaway they wanted for reaching a so-and-so milestone early on in the site's growth (gift card, coupons, beauty items etc.) and no response whatsoever.

I have decided to stop doing giveaways period because they are not only more costly than I can afford at this time, having my husband work only several days a week (if that) while being pregnant too. Also, for not getting back, what I would imagine is deserved, an acknowledgment of receipt and thanks in return. The '300' contest is cancelled (which you probably might have caught on to). With all the changes that has been done to Facebook, it is harder to keep up with freebies and deals so as to whether GAFW will be staying up and running there is a mystery for now. But in conclusion, I hope you all can understand... I'm not sure who or if any will read this, but if I reached at least one person through this blog post, that's enough for me :o)
